Participant Waiver & Photo Release

1. Assumption of Risk

I understand that participating in pickleball and other sporting activities organized by CourtQuest involves inherent risks, including but not limited to physical injury from falls, contact with equipment or other participants, and overexertion. I voluntarily choose to participate with full knowledge of these risks and assume responsibility for them.

2. Release of Liability

In consideration of being permitted to participate, I release and hold harmless CourtQuest, its organizers, volunteers, staff, sponsors, and venue partners from any and all claims, demands, or causes of action arising out of my participation, except to the extent caused by their gross negligence or willful misconduct.

3. Fitness to Participate

I confirm that I am physically able to participate and that I have no medical condition that would make participation unsafe. I am responsible for my own health insurance and medical expenses.

4. Rules & Conduct

I agree to follow the tournament rules, the decisions of referees and organizers, and to treat other participants with respect. CourtQuest may remove any participant for unsafe or unsportsmanlike conduct.

5. Photo & Video Release (optional)

CourtQuest may photograph and film its events. If you consent to the photo release during registration, you grant CourtQuest permission to use images and video that include you for promotional and educational purposes (such as social media, the website, and event recaps), without compensation. This consent is optional — you may decline and still participate, and you may withdraw consent by contacting CourtQuest.

6. Minors

Participants under 18 must have this waiver accepted by a parent or legal guardian, who accepts its terms on the minor's behalf.
